Hasan Yasar is the Technical Director of the Continuous Deployment Capability at the SEI. Yasar leads an engineering group tasked on developing prototype solutions with DevSecOps. He specializes in secure software solutions design and development in the cybersecurity domain, including digital investigation, incident management and large-scale malware analysis. He is an adjunct faculty member at CMU.
An engineering leader with 20+ years of experience in automotive embedded software engineering with proven success in leading global teams, driving innovation, and delivering safety-critical products. Expertise spans in Agile, DevOps, ASPICE, ISO 26262, including model-based development and Virtual Engineering. Drives significant cost savings through CI/CD/CT implementation. A prolific inventor (25+ patents, Nexteer Innovation Hall of Fame awardee) and industry thought leader with numerous publications and conference speaking engagements. Holds an MS in Embedded Software Engineering and relevant certifications. Awarded for industry contributions and senior IEEE member.
As a R&I Manager at Valeo, Christopher leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers, programmers, psychologists, and designers all collaborating to create the future of mobility. Over his career, he has been fortunate to work on a wide range of automotive topics from navigation systems to automated vehicles, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), automotive infotainment systems, and eXtended Reality (XR) applications including Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Realities (AR / VV / MR). He has conducted and published user studies. He has written system specifications, SAE standards, patent applications, and even contributed to the development of automated vehicle regulations in the state of California.
